公式サイトの表記修正と、ICA専門家グループとの対話に関するご報告

先日公開した記事において、ICA（国際公文書館会議）専門家グループからの評価に関する記述に誤りがあったため、訂正とお詫びを申し上げます。
■訂正事項
これまで、ユネスコ諮問機関ICA専門家グループの「公式な支持・承認」を得たという表現を用いておりましたが、私の英語翻訳能力の低さにより、趣旨を間違えて受け止めて表現をしてしまっていた事に対し、お詫びと訂正を致します。
今回のやり取りは、専門家グループとしての助言と対話の枠組みであることを改めて確認いたしました。私の翻訳および解釈の至らなさにより、皆様に誤解を与えてしまいましたことを、心よりお詫び申し上げます。
■今後の活動について
今回の修正に際し、専門家グループからは「表現を修正したからといって、あなたの活動の重要性が変わることはない」との温かい励ましを頂き誠に感謝申し上げます。
世界基準の倫理観に照らし合わせ、私たちの活動がどのような位置づけにあるのかを正しく理解し、今後も歴史的資料の救出と適切な継承に努めてまいります。
表記の修正は順次進めております。混乱を招きましたことを重ねてお詫び申し上げます。

Report Regarding Revisions to the Official Website and Dialogue with the ICA Expert Group
This is Tazawa, Representative of the LRA Association.
I am writing to issue a correction and an apology regarding an error in a recently published article concerning the evaluation by the Expert Group of the International Council on Archives (ICA).
Corrections
Previously, I used expressions stating that we had received “official support and endorsement” from the ICA Expert Group, an advisory body to UNESCO. I sincerely apologize for and correct this misstatement, which was the result of my misunderstanding the original intent due to my poor English translation skills.
I have reaffirmed that our recent exchange falls strictly within the framework of advice and dialogue with the Expert Group. I deeply apologize for causing any misunderstanding due to my inadequate translation and interpretation.
Future Activities
Upon making this correction, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the Expert Group for their warm words of encouragement:
“Correcting the expression does not change the importance of your activities.”
In light of global ethical standards, we will ensure a proper understanding of where our activities stand, and we will continue our earnest efforts to rescue and appropriately pass on historical materials.
Revisions to the website’s text are currently being implemented sequentially. I apologize once again for any confusion this situation may have caused.
