公式サイトの表記修正と、ICA専門家グループとの対話に関するご報告

先日公開した記事において、ICA（国際公文書館会議）専門家グループからの評価に関する記述に誤りがあったため、訂正とお詫びを申し上げます。
■訂正事項
これまで、ユネスコ諮問機関ICA専門家グループの「公式な支持・承認」を得たという表現を用いておりましたが、私の英語翻訳能力の低さにより、趣旨を間違えて受け止めて表現をしてしまっていた事に対し、お詫びと訂正を致します。
今回のやり取りは、専門家グループとしての助言と対話の枠組みであることを改めて確認いたしました。私の翻訳および解釈の至らなさにより、皆様に誤解を与えてしまいましたことを、心よりお詫び申し上げます。
■今後の活動について
今回の修正に際し、専門家グループからは「表現を修正したからといって、あなたの活動の重要性がいささかも変わることはない」との温かい励ましを頂き、また、変わらずやり取りをさせて頂き、誠に感謝申し上げます。
世界基準の倫理観に照らし合わせ、タンダンヤ・アデレード宣言の理念を指針とし、その理念を日本や世界に拡げていこうと、草の根の文化財保護の具現化を目指す私たちの活動がどのような位置づけにあるのかを正しく理解し、今後も歴史的資料の救出と適切な継承に努めてまいります。
表記の修正は順次進めております。混乱を招きましたことを重ねてお詫び申し上げます。

Notification Regarding Corrections and Revisions on the Official Website
Report on Corrections to Official Website Text and Dialogue with the ICA Expert Group
My name is Keiji Tazawa, Representative of the LRA Association.
I would like to issue a correction and a sincere apology regarding an error in a recently published article concerning the communication received from the International Council on Archives (ICA) Expert Group.
■ Corrections
Previously, we used the expression that we had received “official endorsement and approval” from the ICA Expert Group, an advisory body to UNESCO. However, due to my limited proficiency in English translation, I misrepresented the original intent of their communication. I sincerely apologize for this error and would like to correct the statement.
We have reconfirmed that our recent communication with the Expert Group was intended as a framework for advice and dialogue. I deeply apologize for any misunderstanding caused by my lack of translation and interpretation accuracy.
■ Future Activities
Upon making these corrections, we received warm encouragement from the Expert Group, who stated, “Correcting the wording does not diminish the importance of your work in any way.” We are profoundly grateful for their willingness to maintain an ongoing dialogue with us.
By aligning our work with global ethical standards and using the principles of the Tandanya-Adelaide Declaration as our guide, we now have a clearer understanding of how our activities fit into the global context. As we strive to realize grass-roots cultural property protection and expand these principles in Japan and worldwide, we remain fully committed to rescuing historical materials and ensuring their proper preservation for future generations.
